Any breed may suffer from any form of canine disease. Most illness's are not breed specific

We will cover a variation of health issues the mastiff may be pre disposed or can circum too as with any breed.

Some of these conditions can result as a form of injury, Improper nutrition or predisposed genetics. While some others have yet to have a known cause.

With the proper health testing, veterinarian care and nutrition a mastiff can live a life of health and longevity.

All mastiffs will not acquire all or any of the conditions listed here. This is simply to serve as a health guide.

Most Breeders test against these genetic faults in their breeding programs, which in return ensures you a healthy new family member with their health guarantee built right in your purchase contract.

However I feel it is vitally important that the conditions be known, for several reasons. First and foremost, some of the conditions can be cause by injury and nutritional values.

As hard as a breeder my try to prevent the risk of any of the disease's mentioned in the following pages. A lot of your puppy growing into a healthy adult will depend on your care and conditioning, nutritional values and living conditions of your new mastiff member once they leave the breeders home.
